Introducing: How our Kyocera Tiered Color Pricing works
Step 1: You Print/scan a document into your Kyocera machine from WiZiX.
Step 2: Technology in your Kyocera machine auto-recognizes how much color is on each page of your document… just like how you’d categorize those meals!
Step 3: Each page categorizes into 3 different price tiers (see below information on the tiers).
Now, you pay based on how much you printed in each tier!
A breakdown of the 3 tiers
Tier 1: LOW COVERAGE
Simple Color
Color company logo on black & white correspondence. Your document is mostly black and white text.
For example, common prints might be:
- Invoices
- Business letters
- Letterheads
- Price sheets
- Tax documents
- Simple documents
Tier 2: MEDIUM COVERAGE
Business Color
Document contains colorful charts and graphs with text. Think adding “a bigger splash of color”.

Tier 3: HIGH COVERAGE
Creative color
Color rich collateral such as brochures and presentations. Think pages that are vibrant across the majority of the page.

What color tiers am I printing in the most?
We find that most stereotypical California and Nevada businesses print the most within Tier 1: Low Coverage (Simple Color) and Tier 2: Medium Coverage (Business Color). The exception is usually creative-oriented businesses, such as: print shops, architecture firms, and interior designs studios that are printing a high volume of full-color floor plans and creative designs.
Remember: traditional flat rates would charge you as if you are printing everything in Tier 3: High Coverage (Creative Color).
